Sharing Faith

The title ‘Sharing Faith’ comes from this bible verse:

“I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ.”
–Philemon 6

This verse suggests that we don’t have a full understanding of Christ until we reach out and share our faith with others. To open up, and see how your faith connects with the faith of others, is what God desires of us. He made us to be in communion with one another.

God doesn’t want you to stay in your comfort zone. He wants you to leave the familiar and enter the unknown. This involves taking risks, trusting His plan, and relinquishing more control than you are comfortable doing. When we thrust ourselves into the situation God sends us to, and rely solely on Him for support, we become true instruments for God’s word.

Sharing faith is one way God asks us to grow and develop. He wants you to pass on insights to others, and listen to the insights others have to offer you. Such sharing leads to growth and enlightenment that enables you to experience Christ more richly.
